Which coaching move stings the most, your program was just a stepping stone.

You have NIck using LSU
Nutt using Arkansas
Tuberville using Ole Miss

What are some of the other big moves that left your arse red for years?

Coach O using Ole Miss to later produce the Greatest Team in College Football History at LSU.

Billy Napier using ULL to go destroy Florida’s football program.

Bruh.... Coach O left OM off of his resume when he went to interviews, he was afraid they might call OM for a reference!

A stepping stone to get an NFL job? And be one of the highest paid NFL coaches? I don’t think this is the ownage you think it is.

Jimmy Johnson left for Miami right before we had Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders, then we died for the entire 90s decade.

So you are telling us it didn't sting just the teensiest that he left for a better job?

Would have been fired but left too quick.

Since you have your definitions mixed up, let me help clarify. "Stepping Stone" implies that a coach who was good, left for a more appealing program. You seem to think it's a coach who was told to leave a program that ended up ultimately finding another job.

Example of what you equate a "Stepping Stone" move to be: Kevin Sumlin

Example of what an actual "Stepping Stone" move is: Jim Schlossnagle

Ultimately it was Del Conte that got him there. Texas Baseball is an actual blue blood, great history there. Schloss is definitely one of the premier coaches in the sport. Texas baseball is a welcome addition to the SEC conference.

Nutt "resigned" and still got his $3.65 million buyout. It must be nice to quit your job and get paid for it.

Nutt already agreed to the Ole Miss Job before the season began and this is why just within 48 hours he was already named the head coach.

Nutt used both schools and let us not forget that he was flirting with the Nebraska job when it wasn't necessary.

Sure it stung and we hated to see him go, but it wasn't a secret that he had NFL aspirations at the time. Every year you held your breath in the off season while NFL rumors circulated. Most LSU fans knew it was just a question of when.

Shoot, wait until Lane goes to Florida and takes all the decent players on your roster with him.

It has been said that Jimmy Johnson wasn't involved in the recruiting violations at Oklahoma State but looking at what he did at Miami and the NCAA thought about giving them the death penalty in the 90s, something doesn't add up.
