Tennessee was not an elite team that year. Dangerous but nowhere close to elite. You should have won by multiple scores for as much hype as you were getting back then.

That game shows us that even Butch Jones can have Tennessee playing neck and neck with the big 12's finest.

That's not exactly a ringing endorsement about the conference you are coming from but then again not much is.

Reminder of when and why y'all throw mustard:

Not exactly a "boat race."

Seems like you might think that's a big deal.

Kicking arse and taking names is always fun. I just prefer football and baseball.

Don't you worry gump. We will have a very special day for planned inside of Neyland for your team this year. I'm talking lots of shine and some mustard to throw at you toothless hicks here and there after we boat race your asses.

My theory is people like you talk shite before the games because deep down you know you won't be able to talk shite after the games.

Tennessee has never given anyone a reason to worry about them. They will start fast and put up points. Their fans will become overly confident and arrogant. May win a few big games, but they will get beat by Bama at home and go to Athens and lay an egg.

You are going to find out the hard way that Nicky isn't on the sidelines any more. DeBore was too scared to face Michigan again without his fifth and sixth-year players

You just proved my point. A few big wins (11am against a decent LSU team and bama at home), then laying an egg in Athens. Cant really help the loss to South Carolina because Hooker got hurt but that game wasnt going well from the jump.

The orange bowl win was nice I bet.

Tennessee beat you on your home field. They have won a major bowl game.

Neither team has won a championship. LSU did win the West, but Tennessee beat the two best teams In the West that year.

Tennessee has had a better run based on a bigger bowl win, and an absolute arse kicking put on LSU on their home field.
