Charity golf tournament. Quinn Ewers' dad is a really good golfer and an even better person. First we talked about the weather and then we talked about golf.

After that we talked about football. He said that his son is poised to have a big season if he can just stay consistent and trust his mechanics.

Then I said good bye and Quinn Ewers dad went outside and sat on the patio. Great guy!

Big year for Sark and the Shorthorns. They are all in unchartered waters. In Sark's career, he has only had one 10-win season at some very successful schools.

It's interesting that Ewer's dad brought up mechanics, cause it's noticeable. If there is one reason I would give for the second-string QB at some point, that's it. Consistency is not going to be Ewer's friend.

What issue do you see with Ewers' mechanics.... Delivery time? Arm angle? Foot placement?

You have mentioned “Shorthorns” many times in your post. If you would just take a history lesson you would know that Shorthorns were the name of Texas’s Freshman football teams in the 60’s and early 70’s. Freshman were not allowed to play on the “varsity” team, and like some of the SWC teams, they had a league of a few universities that had freshman teams.

Bad "mechanics" is throwing off platform, and sloppy footwork that hurts his timing and ball placement. He has a big arm and he does exactly what big arm QBs are noted for, throwing in tight windows when it's not there. That one goes under "decision-making." That is just some of what anyone can witness and what Ewers's dad is discussing when he talks about "mechanics."

You were supposed to ask if he really thought the A&M game was bigger than the Red River Shootout!

Daniel Jeremiah & Bucky Brooks did a great deep dive on Quinn. He also apparently was the most accurate & effortless QB at Manning PA, followed closely by Beck. Reports are Milroe looked like a beast and was great 10-20 yards. Beyond 20, he struggled more. With Bama’s playmakers though, that’s still a recipe for success.

The Next Round is a Birmingham show that had Quinn on in person last week in media days

He was a great interview and they spent the next 15 minutes talking about how they want to hate him so bad but he was so nice and seemed like a great kid. Nothing but yes and no sir and talked about his faith

That is great and no one cares and no one will ever care and it will never be featured in a history lesson anywhere.

People are talking about the actual breed of cattle that is moderately sized, from blood lines that were not usually suitable for prize sale at auction, and generally known as docile.

Get the joke?

This is definitely true. It's improved quite a bit but it's still a problem

The dude that ask me that question hasn't been back. You should tell your shorthorn brethren that telling the truth, even on the rant, won't kill you. In fact it can be refreshing. No one is expecting it.
