Wait.. even more than Texas and Oklahoma? This is so surprising. Make it make sense.

I would be good with Tulane coming back in the fold. They should have never left.

Never to GT.

But the Green Wave would be welcomed back with open arms. Be cool to see them play LSU again and be competitive in the series.

How many SEC championships do Texas and Oklahoma have? Use both of your hands while counting.

Sewanee football, a founding member of the SEC, has the MOST consistent record in the SEC, no one else is even close,…..not even Vandy.

Tulane is a leech. They offer nothing and just suck your blood. That's why we dropped the series with them. You don't want them back in the conference.

tulane would bring absolute zilch to the SEC. Its student body / alumni is 80% + from the N.E. Point being, there is no shared commonality. Their stadium, at capacity, is 35-40K. Average attendance mid 20K's. At best. There could never be any home & home series as the payouts would never match. They left wanting to be Notre Dame-like independent, i.e. able to keep all the money, not sharing. They are decent in baseball but way below average in all the other sports, male & female.

I’m not saying Tulane chose to leave the SEC directly because integration…but the timing was interesting.

Additionally, counting pre-integration championships comes with a *

We are but first we must face Tulane on the field in September so we are already playing a 9 game SEC schedule.

tulane has never been a typical Southern school....i.e. for segregation. As noted, its alumni base is from the N.E. Leaving the SEC was strictly about money.
