I hate OU and hope they lose every game...but I can respect our rivalry and what they have done.

No it’s just one of a myriad of examples of rivalries more intense in the SEC. There are at least 10 rivalries more intense by a lot on the hatred scale. I don’t really see OU or Texas hate each other much. Nothing like for example Alabama-Tennessee or Georgia-Auburn, etc.
That said, I think it’s going to get a big boost in the SEC. The intensity of the competition will increase it to similar levels. It really does mean more and your existing rivalries will increase in intensity.
