Last time we played Oregon in 2022, we mopped the floor with them....49-3. We have recruited better than them since then and are currently ranked 2 spots higher than them in the recruiting rankings. Not worried....

You can't cap NIL.

What you can do is institute a high school draft, which is the only way we wiggle out of this.

All college football teams become professional organizations, paid a salary, and attending the school becomes optional.

As much as it sucks, it's coming.

UF and a few other flagship schools use the stupid Jordan brand for football. I wonder if that money also goes straight to Nike or if it's separate.

The brands pay the schools for this, not the other way around.

This really helps explains UF's NIL struggles right now.

It wasnt that long ago that aggie signed the greatest recruiting class of all time and they never even won a confrence championship. It definitly matters but its not everything.

I support Oregon in their endeavors. I hope they buy every single elite recruit away from Lincoln Riley's bitch arse in the process.

Its college football's fault. They stuck their head in the sand in regards to paying players for years and now judges sympathetic to the players are behind the driver's wheel.

The Ducks are subsidized by fans of rival fanbases & they have an elite recruiter as HC. It’s a great combo.

Every major college football program has “frick you money” donors. This doesn’t mean as much as people think

Yep.

In the current system it remains to be seen if simply purchasing an elite roster translates to success on the field — at the end of the day, self-motivation, sacrifice, a willingness to be a part of a team, and being coachable all still matters.

Having 50 millionaires on the roster won't work if you lose control of the program in the process.

Like I said, Texas is just upset they keep losing out on all the elite recruits this year. The last few weeks have been simply brutal for them. Sarkisian getting bitch-slapped all over the place. And the entitled fans are beginning to notice.

Hope Phil leaves them in his will...otherwise Oregon is going to crash and burn in a couple of years.

Imagine...he could actually do some good with that money...but I guess you could say that about anyone forking over money for entitled athletic cash whores formerly known as student athletes.

What’s crazy is that there are 0 in-state kids committed to Oregon right now. It’s blue-chippers from all over the map. If Lanning can get them to buy in & gel together, they’ll be a juggernaut.
