Great human being except the wife beating part, right? Many old timers from the area knew it as open knowledge that Jordan would quite regularly beat up on the wifey and she would get treatment at St. Francis in Columbus.

It was basically the same kind of open secret, back in those days, that allowed former presidents to have mistresses in virtually every state they would visit, when passing through, but somehow it never became public knowledge.

Things like that were considered your own private business.
