That comeback vs Arkansas, when he yelled at the crowd, "Y'all are 'bout to miss a helluva game" as they were leaving at halftime...and Arkansas wound up pulling it out after 7 overtimes. Lorenzen had no quit in him.

He was also responsible for my favorite KSR podcast in which he denied the moon landing was real. I could never tell if he was serious or not.

Basically he developed an infection which was complicated by heart issues and kidney issues he was having from the weight he carried for years. At one point after his playing career he ballooned up to 500 pounds and struggled trying to drop the weight. It's incredibly sad.

Anybody who played those old NCAA football games where you could create your own player made a QB that looked like this at least a few times.
