Tennessee was not first UT...Texas was

Historical Facts:
In 1879, East Tenn Univ was finally renamed the University of Tennessee, and it has kept that name to the present.
University of Texas was established in 1876.
So when Texas, UT, was established the Univ of Tenn did not exist and was called East Tenn Univ, ETU.
Texas created the interlocking UT logo 40 years prior to Tennessee.

I'm glad I'm an alum of a school that everybody immediately identifies just by the abbreviation.
No trying to guess which UA, or UT, or USC, or whatever random university I'm talking about.

Sorry.....Tennessee and Tennessee alone has SENIORITY RIGHTS over Texas when it comes to the SEC.

UTsports.com takes you to the Tennessee site and sounds a lot better than texassports.com that takes you to the Texas site. If you were the real UT why not get UT domain? The academics sites are similar as well.
