Looking like your rivalry in the SEC will be must watch TV. I know Texas has a significant edge overall against A&M. Now that both are 0-0 in sec it will be fun to see if the dominance continues. Used to love watching both play in 80’s-90’s with friends while I living and working in Greenville, Tx. Most if not all were Texas fans so I was always pulling for the Horns. Course at that time LSU was rarely on TV but Texas seem to always be broadcast. We would listen to LSU on radio. Great Times!

I am really excited about playing A&M again on an annual basis. It's going to be a must watch game for me.

A & M game to me is blah, they are whiney cry babies and I really wish we never played them again.

I just hope playing Texas won’t be as skull-crushingly boring as playing Texas A&M. So tired of playing fricking Texas A&M all the fricking time.

Maalik’s refusal to run the football is hilarious to me.
He’s 6’5”, 230.

Agreed... no clue why he doesn't run.
If he started running, he'd be like the Predator out there... and it would open up his game for more passing. Makes no sense...
I really like Maalik, he's passionate, I hope he does well. But it was frustrating with his inconsistency.

Playing aggy over rivalry weekend has historically been a lot more entertaining than playing Tech, Baylor, KSU, or whoever for the past 10+ years.

I’ve been to both ou and aggy games (but the closest I’ve been to cs is on Hwy 290). I enjoy being at the RRS more than playing aggy at DKR. But I enjoy beating aggy more than beating ou. Does that make sense?

Aggies owned us in mid-late 80's and early 90's (basically until Mack Brown got there). It was brutal. I remember going to Kyle Field for 1987 game. My buddy and I had our faces pained; we were pretty mediocre that year but Eric Metcalf returned a punt for TD and tossed the ball to one of their band members right before half. We lost 20-17 and Aggie fans from upper deck were dropping cotton balls over the visitor section (they played ND in cotton bowl). Walking back to the car some old lady dressed in maroon looked at us and said "How Sweet it is!...". Like I said, brutal.
A&M really hasn't been that good since then. Historically in this rivalry the better team typically wins. Not always but historically. The OU rivalry is different, lots of upsets and you really never know who will win.
Anyway will be great to get this back on the schedule. I wish A&M could figure out a way to do the bonfire again, I've been to that many times with Aggie friends and it's a cool deal.

But that was during and just after the Jackie Sherrill cheating scandal years. aggy couldn’t win more than 1 in a row without cheating.
Allegations against the A&M football program surfaced in 1985, when it was reported A&M players received thousands of dollars in signing incentives and bonuses, weekly allowances, performance payments, car deals and other favors from A&M coaches and boosters.
Today it’s called NIL
