Since Texas took their coach, staff and their players, they really don't have a choice unless they want to be a bottom feeder.

I am curious has much it would cost to buy a solid team for next year with no notice. $1 million per player? With all the drama it would cost that much to lure new players.

Curious if the boosters will do that. If not, might as well just cancel baseball and put all your money into football going forward.

Why didn't they just match Texas' offer for the one they had?

People hate our AD but he has been all about paying the players. We will buy another team, but next year is going to be very, very painful. I doubt many coaches want to deal with the mess that PoS left behind. Some of the players may come back when the situation settles.

THe entire team would be smart to put their name in the portal and look after their own interests.

Is it any more different from the normal frickery of our conference? I mean coaches get poached all time.

No, A&M just believed they were above it.

Also, everyone is overreacting because it's their rival, no difference otherwise.

If A&M hires Mingione, no one will feel sorry for Kentucky.

If there’s one thing I miss about Slive, it was his unwritten rule that the conference wouldn’t poach coaches from each other.

Yes, this is on another level from anything we have seen before. This seems to have been planned for months.

It is almost like a terrorist attack plot.

Kentubby fans should know this. Pretty much started it.

Technically, we aren't in the same conference for a few more days, but I understand the logic.

After this debacle, I wonder if they may change the rules. Taking a coach is one thing, poaching an entire team seems to defy the whole concept of competitive sports.

I’ve never seen an entire coaching staff and a dozen or so players at the same time, pillaged from a team. And definitely not while they were playing a national championship game.

They did have a prominent member of the PLO as one of their commencement speakers. Something akin to the October 7th attacks is on brand for them.

I keep asking.. and none of you will answer.. unless I missed it.

When would you have preferred he left? In April or May? Would your answer be the same if you had won on Monday? Leaving back then would have helped Texas too.. but you might not have finished 2nd..

Alabama hired Washington's head coach, a lot of his staff, and got several players as well, right after they played for a natty.

DeBoer wasn't working in the background for months to torpedo Washington and take the entire staff with him.

This is the heart of it.

When a school poaches a coach, they hire the coach to build the program. The result being a program built from the ground up at the new school.

When you buy the whole program, and just relocate it to a new campus with different jerseys.... what's the point of caring about that as a fan?
