If he waited after the 1st all he could do is porch from A&M or from where A&M gets their coach. At least this way he gives both A&M and Texas a chance to bring people in from other schools.

Not really. It's not very realistic to get someone in here to start recruiting kids in the 5 days.

Gotta give this board credit.
A lot of red flags went up when the guy tried to throw another SEC program under the bus earlier this season.

Schlossnagle is obviously a man of low character. Unfortunately, that doesn’t really matter anymore

Coach PoS has zero character. Probably zero conscience as well.

I am NOT an aggie fan but fuk all the talking heads. They don't have a clue of why he left. The liberal media always will find something wrong unless its Crooked Joe Biden. I say fukem

He better hope the Texas move works out because I find it hard to believe he'll get hired elsewhere after this.

Texas is his last job. He knew it the second he accepted it. He probably doesn't really care what anyone thinks.

It's not really about baseball. It's more about greed and the adults in the room.

You could make the case it was to distract from the information leaking that he was planning on leaving.

You're assuming he's going to be successful at Texas. I'm not sure that's a good assumption.

Coaches do this sort of thing all the time, they get other jobs. Remember when Saban insisted that he wasn't going to be the coach at Alabama?

The parallels to the Franchione hire are spooky similar.

Yeah, kinda. It was wildly speculated that he threw the Iron Bowl just so Bama fans would be mad at him for that and to take the sting away from a quick exit right after, but it wasn't the next day. Also, fRan pretty much told Paul Bryant Jr. what he was doing before he left T-town. His response to fRan was if you get on the plane, don't come back. Not sure there was any type of conversation like that here.

If you were a stud recruit, and this POS was after you to go to Tejas, would you go knowing he might jump up tomorrow and haul arse?

I wouldn't. But money talks, and many of these players will never make MLB money. If a recruit is offered seven figures to play for a school, it may not matter if the coach is a known PoS

100%. Because I know he’d take me with him.

Honestly, as weird as the 2 Texas fanbases are, I can’t wait to read what each accept as fact regarding this Schloss situation in the months to come
