Why am I being a massive pussy? Because I don't like folks talking about players getting injured? That is just not something you did when I was playing. Even if you knew there was a great possibility of it happening.
It is not an a-hole thing to ponder and discuss the possibility that he has issues with his body.
I understand what you’re saying, though. It would be a dick move to say something like, “man, I hope Daniels doesn’t go down before our game next week

But this kid and situation isn’t that.

Yeah I wasn't accusing anyone of ill will. It was just always a superstition thing that people didn't used to talk about the possibility of injuries, at all, ever. It was just a permeating feeling that if you are thinking about getting hurt someone is going to get hurt. I completely understand that larger than normal people are similar to larger than normal any species in that there are additional health risks and usual a shorter life span on average.
I was just thinking it may be better to talk about him being slower, less coordinated, less explosive etc., rather than focus on the guy possibly getting injured. Obviously the odds are against him seeing serious playing time regardless, imo.
But it is also an interesting idea to have someone nearly 8 ft tall. There could be possible advantages.
