quote:I've heard different things about Schloss and CDC (not besties, supposedly), but that's just rumor. What I can tell you for a fact is that Schloss just bought a horse farm (with house) for his girlfriend across the river in Burleson County. She's a horse person that had a place outside Fort Worth, and this is what he had to do to get her to College Station. It's about a 15 minute drive from the ballpark. Getting the same kind of property somewhere around Austin would be a ridiculous drive.
This won't come down to money. If Schloss is indeed CDC's target, this will come down to whether he wants to be in College Station or Austin..
Ignore the baseball side of things.. maybe he doesn't like College Station.. maybe he doesn't like how flat it is.. maybe his new girlfriend lives in Austin.. maybe he wants to open up a Winery in the Hill Country.. maybe he just likes working with CDC.. There are a million reasons that have nothing to do with money or baseball that Schloss might prefer Austin..

Step 1 - Buy lots and lots of land for horses, a house and a baseball stadium.
Step 2 - Build baseball stadium with a connecting cart path to Schloss's house and connected horse farm for him and his girlfriend.
Step 3 - Profit.
Step 4 - Collect Aggie tears.

It's ridiculous to think he'd leave.
