Hmmm it looks like the horns haven’t been pulling their weight lately….

Texas is now the only Power 5 school in the state to have not played in a major sport national championship since 2010.

A&M, Tech, TCU, and Baylor have all played for a natty more recently. The Texas drought has now hit 15 years.

Congrats on your first national championship appearance since WW2!

Maybe that “Hall of Champions” will finally get a big 3 trophy.

You mean your backhanded compliment?

Yeah, it’s pretty chickenshit and passive-aggressive.

But I’d expect nothing more from your fanbase.

Weird you interpreted it like that.I personally don’t see how it’s backhanded.

I stand corrected: Vanderbilt beat them in the bracket final.

I have lost track. Sully, Wes, Tony V, Schloss, all are fighting to go there from my understanding.

Maybe it is all of them..

Sully - HC
Johnson - Pitching
Tony V - Hitting & Recruiting Coordinator
Schloss - Plate Discipline

A two loss team that barely survived a dog shite conference
That's weird. How come Texas had a higher strength of schedule than everyone in the SEC sans one team, then (btw, that one team was the SEC champion that Texas destroyed on the road; were they also dogshit)?

2020 A&M was a better season than last year’s tu team
You say this like you actually believe it LOL. Not sure how finishing No. 4 and missing the playoffs is better than finishing No. 3 and actually playing in it...

A&M's 2020 schedule:

Vanderbilt 0-9
Alabama (blow out) 13-0
Florida 8-4
Mississippi State 4-7
Arkansas 3-7
South Carolina 2-8
LSU 5-5
Auburn 6-5
Tennessee 3-7
North Carolina 8-4

WHOA!!! What a scary schedule!!! I sure hope whichever coach was responsible for that is still around! A&M should give him an extension or something!

Texas played 6 teams that finished in the top 25 in 2023. A&M played 4 total teams with a winning record in 2020, and their best win was a 4-loss UNC team that sat out half their squad

Seeing downvotes but no response... guess the aggies are flustered they can't refute the above

It appears there is some more smoke from the A&M side..

For Luicci to admit that it's a possibility.. this could get interesting..

I may be wrong, but I have said for about a week that I believe that CDC has a written or verbal contract with a coach.. I don't know who that coach is, but all signs are starting to point to Schloss or Vitello..

I asked a legal question yesterday, but I didn't see an answer.

Can a coach or agent sign a contract for next year, while that coach is still employed at his current school? If so, it's entirely possible that this is already a done deal..

If CDC is smart, he wouldn't let it become a bidding game.. You sit down, you ask what the other side wants, and you give it to them if they are ready to sign. and it's done right there.. there is no back and forth or renegotiation..

eta: If CDC is trying.. that should be a huge red flag for Aggies. Schloss and CDC apparently go on family vacations together (per an Aggie) and CDC wouldn't be trying if there wasn't legitimate interest there. You don't lead a friend down a path like this and then just turn around.. so if they are truly friends.. this might actually happen.

No head coach will sit down and work out a deal in the middle of the season.

I am not a lawyer, but you can sign whatever you want to. Just be ready to deal with the penalties involved.

I'm pretty sure signing something in the middle of the season would be a conflict of interest. I know that I cannot even work a second job if I wanted in the same field, even if it seems innocent.

There are massive repercussions.
