If you are into Cord Cutting, a new streaming service is set to debut this Fall. It's called Venu and will be owned by ESPN, FOX and Warner Bros.
It will only have sports channels in it's offering, so you would think/Hope it will cost less to get. It will include the following channels:
ESPN
ESPN2
ESPNU
SECN
ACCN
ESPNEWS
ABC
FOX
FS1
FS2
BTN
TNT
TBS
truTV
ESPN+
For the life of me, I can't keep up with which channels will be carrying all of the college football games, but I know a ton will be offered by ESPN, ESPNU, SECNand ABC. If you have an antenna you can pick up the other local channels free, so this might be an interesting alternative to some of the services that are heavily packed with channels that you might not care anything about watching, but have to pay for.
Right now there is no pricing, but if they intend to start the services in time for the Fall, they will need to announce pricing pretty soon, I would think.
Anyway, I have been streaming for about 3 years now and have been very happy with it.
If you have any questions about streaming this might be a good place to ask, and i think there is a technology board on this site that will have information. but before I started streaming we were paying something like $215 a month for internet and a dish service with no extra channels. Now we pay$100 and have 1,000 GB internet (speed), HBOMax (Comes free with internet) BritBox, and Amazon...and I get local channels with an antenna. During the Fall I pick up FUBO or YouTube TV or Georgia football and they cost about $70 or so. If Venu comes in at $50 (Or hopefully less) I will pick it up during the season...but i could keep it for Georgia baseball and (I think Braves? Not sure what channel they are on right now)
Anyway...cam across this and thought you all might find it interesting. here is a link to an article, in case you want to check it out.

Pretty sure he meant 1GB or 1,000MB

So they broke it all apart in order to add it all back together.
We had this…it was called cable.
Goal-get the free over the air broadcast deleted.
Hate government but they need some roll in broadcasting (radio and tv).

Why? The OP was paying over $200/ month. There may be a TV package in the near future giving him everything he wants at about $50/mo. With no contract.
Where is the problem? And how in the hell would the government make it better?

If it lowers costs, why are you bitching? It is literally giving people a choice to only pay for what they need.

I didn't click your link (sorry)
My brother is a trader.
He thinks the price point on the sports channel will be stupid low at first (kind of like Netflix at $7/mo to start). $25/month for the sport package to get everyone on board.
$50-$60/month is the number in my head (probably $20 to $30 lower than a youtubetv). In the end, that is where I think the price point settles.

Great another streaming service to add to the countless other ones I seem to get billed for
YouTube TV
Disney+/ESPN
Netflix
Paramount+
Hulu
Peacock
NFL Sunday Ticket (I got this to watch the Saints and Cowboys) but debating if I will get it again.
Etc etc
Cutting the cord is expense these days. I told my daughter I am about to cancel half of those and she goes in full panic.
I will say with ESPN+ (That is bundled with Disney) I pretty much get all the sports I want to watch from College Softball, Baseball and more football I can watch. I for

If you have YTTV what woudl you need Venu for? At quick glance I think I get all of the ones listed in OP in YTTV already, except for ESPN+

Damn. What system is that?

You still have the cable alternative, but as i said cable pricing was on par with DishNetwork and DirecTV...and that was $200 or so.
I also used to have Netflix, and when it kept going up we dropped it in favor of Britbox. It has tons of UK shows, and some of them are really good. But it leans heavily to Police Procedurals, (Which my wife and i enjoy) and stuff like the British version of The Office and Mr. bean..stuff like that. but it is only $7 a month while Neflix was right at $20 a month and going up every time we turned around. I figure if enough people cancel their services they will hold the line on charges. Just my opinion and guess, but we've enjoyed the Brit Police stuff, so...

AT&T has it for $80 with HBOMax thrown in for free. I have checked it with this:
HighSpeedInternet
It typically gives me 900+ download speeds, so I figure it is close to what they promise. Now, that is at the point of entry into the house and hooked up to my computer and the TV in our bedroom. When we go into the great Room it falls to around 200MBPS according to the speed test on the TV, but that is plenty to get up to 8K TV shows. (I don't think there are any that are filmed at 8K, but i do get 4K content with ease and no buffering)

Not a problem. I get it. You don't want to click just anything.

this. I don't want/need all the extra channels that come with YouTube or FUBO, so Venu allows me to catch the sports for less money. We MIGHT watch TV 3 hours a day and have all we can handle with the services we have. I normally would get rid of HBOMax, but it is free. The only think I watched on it was The Wire, Band of Brothers, The pacific and one or two others. I figure we spend $100 in the off seaon of football and then I add FUBO (I tried YouTube last season, but prefer FUBO) for football season. If i drop FUBO and add VENU I figure to save another $40 or so a month during football season.
I tried YouTube because i saw so many people liking it, but i just preferred the interface of FUBO, so if VENU does not become a reality, I will go back to FUBO.

We are twins. I cancel youtube tv in mid January and pick it back up in August.
The only show I miss in real time is Jeopardy and there are daily bootlegs on YouTube.
Everything else is available the day after the live run or we binge a season during football season (i.e. Alone).

I checked and most of the TV we used to watch a lot was on the networks and i could get them for free with my antenna. It was not easy for me to do away with cable/dishes, but I am so glad i did.
I did several things in the last few years that have helped me save a ton of money.
1. Get rid of Land line telephone. (Many many years ago)
2. Stream
3. Went with Mint Mobile for telephone. We pay $15 a month for cell service with 5 GB of Data for each line. Now that it is just the wife and i we spend $30 a month for phone service. It was something like $120 a month with verizon. Admittedly, the Verizon network was more reliable, but I rarely go anywhere that I don't have service.

It might lower the price. Can almost guarantee most households will still have 2-3 other streaming platforms on top of the $50+taxes and fees a month.
I don’t mind the package as it actually gets us back to where we were before ..cable or satellite with all our things..just minus the “something +” subscriptions (Amazon, Netflix, paramount, etc).
They are all grabbing the pieces that were pulled apart and finding a way to put them back together…like it used to be.

I never took you for a bootleg Jeopardy fan. There are more layers to meansonny than I thought.

You should check out jeopardy on YouTube.
It is indescribable. Honestly.
It is some of the weirdest internet that I've ever seen (I presume they are attempts at avoiding copyright infringement and maintaining monetization... and they are all foreign productions).
