Billy Napier has always been a good guy. From his days as a hungry assistant coach killing it on the recruiting trail to his Group of Five head coach days, he’s been a good guy. But sometimes, good guys make dumb decisions.

Napier is an idiot
And his “folksy humble guy” act is pure bullshite
He’s as arrogant and stubborn as Dan Mullen

Not much substance in that article.
Long story short, his dumb choice was pursuing Rashada? Ok. I think that's clear to everyone now but he wasn't the only one doing it and they don't have to worry about Rashada because he isn't on the team and they have the - per the article - better QB anyway.

He may be stubborn but he's nowhere near as abrasive as Mullen with the media or others.

For the first time in his tenure i actually really like the team he's put together. Finally there's no glaring holes on the roster to blame it's all gonna come down to coaching.

Are you telling me it never was about coaching all this time at Florida?

Napier is a genuinely good guy. He regularly volunteers for events and he follows his faith.
He did make a mistake with Rashada, but that does not make him a bad person.
But good guys don’t usually win, so this may be our problem.

But look back at his press conference after Kentucky whooped his arse and remember when he said to the media “you weren’t asking these types of questions after the Tennessee game…”
He does get pretty testy when people question his “process” there just hasn’t been enough pressure applied yet.

The problem is the UAA will give him 6 years to make the process happen, the fans won't.
If he doesn't make progress this year, dude is cooked. And that means winning early because that second half of schedule is impossible.
I do agree the roster is good but if he can't get it to work we'll be off to the next loser.

And some of our dumbass fans thought that we should have hired him at LSU.

To be fair, y'all hired Brian Kelly. At least our pick was cheap and an easy out.

Ironically, this lawsuit might prolong his tenure at UF, because they have no choice but to back him at this point, and this litigation is likely to drag on for a while.

I stay out of your lane but I'm wait-and-see with any coach we hire.
I'm not believing promises, I need to see results. This is put up or shut up time for Billy.

It probably will be settled, but it won't be a quickie.

That is the entire point of a settlement.
