You are joking, right? What is your record vs Alabama? What is your Head Coach's record vs Alabama?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to compare national titles in the post-Covid era?
Unless you think head to head is more important. Do ya?

What did getting beat by BAMA in the 2023 SECCG cost you? A chance at a 3-peat. Something never officially accomplished in the modern age. What did getting beat by BAMA in the 2012 SECCG cost Georgia? A chance to win a NC in almost 40 years. What did getting beat by BAMA in the 2018 SECCG cost Georgia? A chance to again make the playoff and try to win a NC in almost 40 years. What did getting beat by BAMA in the 2021 SECCG get Georgia? A reprieve, finally. The stars lined up and the Playoff committee let Georgia in even with yet another loss to BAMA in the SECCG. Thank goodness for the top 4 polls that year.
To suggest beating ALABAMA in a SECCG for the first time in your history isn't important is to try to justify success without conquering the best. So far, your football program hasn't done it once.

So you just deflect that we have won two titles since Alabama has won another one? You can live off the past if you want, but it still remains a fact that at this moment we are a better program. now, maybe that changes, but it is a fact right now. And, it isn't a matter of Alabama so much as to Saban.
I THINK you know this, but maybe not.

Indeed this is approaching joke status. You lose in September and you can no longer use the GOAT excuse. And there's a decent chance that you will.
quote:Surely you aren't serious. You think a 1 loss SEC team will be left out of a 12 team playoff? No use talking to somebody that believes like you do, then.
I contend that if you lose that September game, with your schedule, that you could miss going to Atlanta and also miss the playoffs. For the second year in a row.

I trying but the 43-26-4 BAMA all time record keeps throwing me off.

In other words….
1. Kirby went back to back better than saban ever did.
2. Kirby ended up breaking the Bears win streak record.
That trumps everything you just typed, most of which was old news and irrelevant to the subject matter.

Then pay attention. 3 of those BAMA azz kickings happened this decade. 2 in the SECCG.

2022: Washington (10-2) would have missed the playoffs.
Because they were a PAC12 team. You did not mention that 5 other teams with 2 losses would have made the playoffs. An SEC team with 2 losses would make it.
quote:And yet Utah, with 3 losses would have made it. Michigan St, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss., Baylor and Ohio State would have all made it.
2021: Pit (11-2), BYU (10-2) and Oklahoma (10-2) all would have missed the playoffs.
Again. And SEC team would make it.
quote:
2019: Alabama (10-2), Oregon (10-2), Notre Dame (10-2), Minnesota (10-2) and Cincinnati (10-2) all would have missed the playoffs.
In 2019 you have to go to week 16, because..well, I'm not sure why the schedule worked out that way. But...
A 3 loss Wisconsin would have made it as well as Georgia, Oregon, Baylor, Florida, Penn St and Utah with 2 losses.
quote:
2018: Washington State (10-2) would have missed the playoffs.
Because they played in the PAC 12. Theree teams would have made it with 3 losses. (LSU,Florida and Washington...ironically a PAC 12 team) Two more teams with 2 losses would also have made it. (Georgia and Michigan)
I get it and in a way I proved your point that 2 loss teams might miss a 12 team playoff, but those examples were based on extenuating circumstances....as a whole) A 2 loss SEC team will more than likely make every 12 team playoff.
So, technically you make a legitimate point and i was wrong...but realistically it probably will not happen.

2 national titles > 2 head to head wins

Do you get the scores at your house? Kirby has never had 2 head to head wins against BAMA.
BAMA has beaten Georgia 3 times in the last 4 years. And the one year that didn't happen in 2022, we didn't play. Ancient history indeed!

From the SEC, most will laugh at this, but Texas and Ole Miss have the best chance to challenge UGA.
All of the CFB talking heads assume that UGA will win in Austin. Could it happen...of course. Is it the lock that all of the analysts and gurus say it is? I really don't think so.

What lock? Who are you listening to? You don't need a persecution complex to win that game. Georgia is going to come straight at you and between the tackles. It will be a LOS game and if the Shorthorns have your DL figured out you could easily win. If you don't, the dogs will beat on that weakness for 4 quarters and you will lose by 2 TDs.

You could literally use this description about any game featuring two highly ranked teams. Thanks for that hard hitting analysis.

We have 6 NCs under Coach Saban and 18 total. Beating Georgia like a red-headed stepchild is merely a bonus.

While I enjoy anyone trolling UGA - yours seems to have a lack of foundation going forward. The GOAT isn’t on the sideline anymore. Acting like it’s a forgone conclusion you’re going to still constantly beat Georgia regularly is unwarranted at best.
Harping on how you’ve constantly beat them isn’t the burn you think it is either, Saban had a near flawless record against everyone.
