I had no clue where to put this:

I used to think the brand was majestic and worn by skilled golf and tennis players that always stood out amongst their peers. Most of their sports equipment is well respected and as such I have like 6 GOTM a2000s and one A2k gloves along with an EVO NXT basketball. Well, now I have to wonder how they are even pushing out quality gloves and basketballs. I cannot go to their site without my computer getting aids. My phone literally won't let me click on their payment page saying it's not secured. Now I find out my customized glove that I custom built for the 10-year-old was triple charged to which I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to realize that. In return they canceled all three orders when I wanted at least the one custom glove, so why in the world do they do they cancel all three. Their customer service is slacking. One email barely qualified as English. What is going on with the companies that I love. This mofo literally just booked a deal with Caitlyn Clark so if they can do that why cannot Wilson.com not pay their bills.

Beware

Probably something like that. My issue with their site has been going on for weeks though. This isnt some Memorial Day weekend logjam.

I did a quick search earlier to see if they happened to fall prey to one of our current economic boogeymen, dun dun dun...."Private Equity", but no, they are not completely owned by private equity. I guess a Finnish company named "Amer Sports" owns the Wilson brand, has for a while, and Amer Sports itself is mostly owned by a single Chinese company called Anta sports. Other stakeholders are the dude who founded the Lululemon brand (thank you sir, for your service and how those yoga pants have made asses look for 20 years), and a couple of Chinese private equity firms. (dun dun dun)

So there's your answer. They are mostly owned by the Chinese now and the Chinese generally take things that have been "fully extracted" in an economic sense, and then they turn them into complete and utter shite through further rounds of degradation. Be thankful that you didn't lose your house by trying to buy things direct from their website. In the future, go through an intermediary such as Amazon, less headaches.

I guess Spalding needs to make a comeback.

Your post explains a lot.

I've always like Wilson. Always preferred their gloves when I played baseball. I did go to their website just to see if it's a nightmare for me as well.

Well...first off, I'm using my home PC. I don't like to use a smartphone for most things outside of texting and listening to podcasts while I walk or drive around. If I'm at home, my computer is on, that's just how I am, so maybe that's why my experience was different from yours. I do use an ad-blocker and a VPN, and I use Firefox as my browser. Maybe try a different browser on your phone, or if you have a PC/laptop, try that, it may work better. Even in 2024, some businesses find it impossible to build webpages that work on mobile browsers.

I didn't have any problems picking through the baseball gloves on their site, and I built a fully customized A2000 as well. Obviously, I didn't purchase it, or even click "Add to my Bag" and that's where most of your problems lie, so I can't really say what problem you ran into.

You probably didn't post this to get help from some random guy about how to better navigate the Wilson Sporting Good website.

It sucks to see things you trusted and relied upon at one point in your life get transformed into something else. I usually just let those things go and find something to my liking. For baseball gloves, have you looked at Nokona? My sister used their gloves for fastpitch softball, and I would sometimes throw on an old one of hers to play catch in and I liked it, but I never had one I used to play baseball in, they were fairly pricey back in the 80's & 90's and harder to locate in retail locations than the major brands. As far as I know, the Nokona brand is all made and owned in Texas, USA. So at least your money stays in country.

I am using Safari/ Iphone 12.

I am getting an error message by cloudfare quite a bit. I am also getting a bad request error code whenever I click on the ad in their email advertisement.

I just purchased a glove on sidelineswap and my phone did fine.

I can do some things like build gloves decently well, but then I click on some buttons and then my internet hits a screeching halt.

See if this link to a basketball sends you to a screeching halt:
LINK

Like I said for some reason it triple charged me and listed three order numbers when I purchased a glove last week. That was weird but that wasnt even the first time it has done that. This time I made sure not to double click or anything. Also, the site loves to cancel my orders just out of the blue. Custom or not... but that may be a Paypal issue which is again unique to Wilson.

They are the wokest of all. I wouldn't own anything Nike if I got 110% off the sale price.

Sounds like a browser issue.

I went on my PC and had no issues.

the triple order thing usually happens when people hit the button multiple times. Usually due to lag, as they think nothing is happening, but each press of the button causes a new order to go.

Most places have code in place to prevent it these days, such as disabling the button after it gets pushed the first time. Odd they don't, unless there was a javascript error or something due to your browser.

I am telling you I made sure to not double click anything because I've been through this before.

If its a browser issue it isnt affecting other sites the way it affects them.

All these companies are Private Equity owned and the costs (people) have been eliminated. A2000 is a quality product and you will love it.
Private Equity has started buy some of the tournaments and leagues around the country (Babe Ruth and Perfect Game Baseball for example)

I lost all respect for him after he starred in that movie with Tom Hanks.

Wilson canceled my order for my girl's custom glove again. It stayed pending for a week and then canceled it. Why did the order stay pending when paypal successfully took the money out of my account.
