They should have put the three to five best players in all of CFB since the last game was released with Saban in the background walking away/retiring. Like the legendary players that we've seen since the last NCAA football game like Burrow, Cam and Tebow for example and a new star or two.

This would have made more sense and been more relevant to the current state of CFB.

They used to have the previous year's Heisman Winner, unless there were extenuating circumstances that didn't allow it (example, when Joey Harrington was on the cover because Eric Crouch was on the cover of the game competing with EA, or when Larry Fitzgerald was on the cover since Matt Leinart was still at USC)
