They’d have to make an extended run. Teams that play on day 1 have a chance to add two more losses with a win on day one. 1-2 doesn’t move the needle anywhere but down.

We are 29-18 15-12 and 65 RPI.

If we can steal a series at Texas this weekend, I wonder if we can come close to sneaking in. Obviously need to have a good tournament but we have been playing well being the only Big 12 team top 3 in pitching and hitting.

It helps that UK got some of the bad SEC teams on the road. Auburn is a Q1 team for UK yet a Q2 for those who got them at home. Similarly, @Mizzou is a Q2 game for UK while a Q4 team for those who got them at home.

A schedule with UT, UGA, ARKY, & Bama = 12 top 11 RPI opponents. That's strong.

Baseball America Projections

We would get destroyed with BA projections..
#2 in the WF regional

Texas will not advance against a team with good pitching depth..

idk... Texas has won almost every series in the big 12, and all of those were bad teams sans 1 or 2 of them

1) Go away alter boy.

2) Texas Series 10-2
6-0 vs Q1 series
2-0 vs Q2 series
2-2 vs Q3/4 series (Kansas will be Q3)

Oh great. Then I guess Texas is ready to take over the SEC by being 3rd place in a bad big 12

Yea we got a couple easy series on the road. Ming also hired an “rpi expert” in the offseason to schedule smart non conference opponents this season. That has helped a lot as well at least with the RPI

The hosting bubble is strong this year, State is definitely not a slam dunk yet. Right now there are about 20 teams with legit hosting cases and obviously only 16 make the cut.

Need to sweep Mizzou and then see what else happens this weekend. If State drops a game, that could be trouble. Most of the other host contenders have big series this weekend and can improve their standing, State is having to just try and hold serve against a bad team.

Its really not all that complicated. Give up revenue from home games and play more on the road.

See Indiana St. They're 36-11 vs the 54th best schedule yet they're 10th in the RPI. How is that possible? 29 games on the road or neutral site.

Compare them to UVA.

Indiana St: 36-11, 9 Q1 games, 6 Q2 games, 54 SOS, 10 RPI
Virginia: 37-14, 12 Q1 games,17 Q2 games, 26 SOS, 13 RPI

and pretty soon, you will be 16-5 since 4/8.. like I said, Texas sucks against bad teams, and Kansas is a bad team..

1-4 in Q1/Q2 series = bad

BA always seems to be lazy. State not hosting and Oklahoma State is? Georgia a 10 seed but Clemson a 6?

It’s based out of California and very west coast biased.
