I'm happy for both Arkansas and Kentucky

Both are good at recruiting in my opinion.

The expansiveness of this thread is other worldly. Will reread.

We’re getting players Kentucky would normally get and Kentucky is getting players we’d normally get

For this year I think most UK fans are fine with this. I am liking what Pope is doing.

Proof of the pudding will be in the tasting. Can Cal actually do something with the talent?
Can y'all recruit at your normal level in the new landscape without someone like Cal?
No way to know until it plays out.

Under the circumstances each coach walked into they should be given at least one year of leniency due to neither having a roster to start with.
Best hope is build a competitive roster from what’s left out there and work on the future. Both coaches have done well so far.

Finally, some reasonable and level headed discussion without trolling.

I agree with one small caveat. Cal is not going to have more talent than he has had the last few years at UK, but I do think he's motivated to figure out how to go out without looking like his career is ending on a sour note, so I think he will try some things he has resisted in the past to make a run.

Yep, agree. Neither had any roster on day one. We know Cal would get some of his recruits to follow, and figured none would stay except the in state kid.
I really haven't followed who all he has gotten other than our recruits, but Cal will have a good overall team.
I will say that what Pope has done so far is very impressive to me. If we can some how get Robinson and another couple of players, we are set up to have a very competent team.
Just like with Cal and a team of freshman from years past, how will a team of many 5th year players do playing together for the first time. Gonna be interesting.
And Kentucky will have a senior night again

We've seen how it works with Muss.
Just like relying on freshmen, the right group can win at a high clip, the wrong group will make you question the coaching ability because of the talent available.
