The SEC and most of all of CFB has been down recently compared to previous years.
2019 LSU was the last truly dominant SEC team.
These recent UGA teams were stacked with talent but those prime Saban teams would have smothered them. Just different levels of coaching and overall team work.
Kirby is good but he's nothing close to Saban. Stetson Bennett and Bowers will get most of the credit for those two NCs once kirby is retired imo.

Is that the only reason the vols finally had their first top 10 season in 2022?
