Wake Forest transfer DaShawn Jones has picked up interest from major SEC and Big Ten programs since entering the portal on Tuesday.

One of the top available cornerbacks on the market, the redshirt sophomore started in nine games in the 2023 season. He tallied 37 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and led the team with three interceptions and two pass breakups.

Jones told On3 on Wednesday morning that he’s heard from LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Georgia, Mississippi State, Indiana, Liberty and Ole Miss in the last 24 hours. Virginia Tech also extended an offer. The cornerback already has his first visit scheduled, too.

The Wake Forest transfer said he will be visiting Alabama this weekend, scheduled to arrive in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
