I wasn't born yet when Arkansas won it's 1964 football natty. It was awesome!

'60s Arkansas teams were some of my favorites as OU was down
One of Arkansas' star players was from the Oklahoma town that I was born in and where my family originated. Because of him we followed them pretty closely in those years.
When Oklahoma got good again I pretty much lost interest in rooting for Arkansas but have fond memories of watching the few games we got to watch and listening to radio broadcasts of Hog games as a little kid.
I know a guy my age who has LSU as his second team as we used to get LSU night games on the radio in Oklahoma back then. I remember listening to a couple of those but he said he listened every Saturday night they played. You couldn't get the day games on the radio. But at night it was crystal clear.

As a little kid, I loved watching the Oklahoma/Texas game each year, highlighted in my mind by Thomas Lott at QB and his cool arse fricking red bandana

'92 was my first really engaged memory. Game was played during the rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding. We were ordered by the bride/groom (LSU alumns) to ignore the game. There's a pic somewhere of my family sitting at the table with them and her entire family is in the bar watching the game. My grandfather had an ear piece in. Found out after the game that my father had tix to the game.
'09 was sweet. 14-0 season. Mt Cody. First Heisman. Texas melt over Colt. Good times!
'11. I mean, come on. Mid-field road block. Honeybadger humbled. Never has a single game caused a fanbase more trauma. That game in November remains the finest college football game I have ever attended.
'12. Repeat! The moment my father looked at me and told me he had waited his entire life for this. This is the one most special to me just for that. He hated ND.
'15. Jake Freaking Coker! The perfect onsides kick that Dabo still can't figure out.
'17. 2nd and 26. 'nuff said.
'20. Muh Covid year, doesn't count. Loved this one. Hard to admit your team didn't have the stones or the discipline to compete I guess. Last NC I got to watch with my father.
Hell of a ride. I'm grateful for it.

Hmm.. let me count!
65,73,78,79,92,09,11,12,15,17,20… so Eleven times. A little under 20% of the time Bama has won the Natty.
Is that good? Seems really good

There are far tougher things in life to have not experienced. Life is really good regardless. I love football. Expectations are tempered based on just being a reasonable person.
BTW, what was your jersey number? You talk like a motherfricker that actually suited up.

Thank God my parents weren’t retarded or otherwise I might’ve been raised a LSU fan
This is a dumb thread by the OP, but I would like to point out that you are calling LSU fans retards when you don’t even understand when to use “a” vs “an!”

Checking in, gladly, but also witnessed our falling apart in the 2013 BCS CG. Could've thrown a ball and hit Kelvin Benjamin (FSU) in the endzone 4th qtr.

I was 30. Married but no kids yet, so made the trip to Arizona easy. Sat 50-yard line about 20 rows up. Was like a giant weight lifted off my shoulder when that ball went through the uprights.

Beating number one PSU to win the 78 title was my first to attend and it was insane.
Beating Arkie to win it the next year was sort of expected. Was surprised how many Razorbacks came to New Orleans.
1992 and two TD underdog Bama ends "The U" may have been the best.
Finally getting the Texas monkey off the back in 09 was great but honestly, nobody thought Texas had a chance.
Notre Dame in '12 was like Texas. Great to get the monkey off the back but the game was over before it started.
11,15 and 20 were all kinda meh as I knew Bama was the better team and would have to really screw up to lose. 17 was so improbable as it was two complete different halves of football.
Not a national title but I thought this past years Rose Bowl was maybe the greatest Rose Bowl ever played.
