Nobody else believes this. It's what every single school says during a coaching hire. People turn down job offers all the time for various reasons. There's no reason to be so insecure about it.

Well, we know for a fact - at least according to our AD - that DeBoer and Norvell were the only two coaches contacted by Byrne, and Byrne was in Seattle with DeBoer when Norvell agreed to a new contract with FSU.

So, I’m not sure what you believe, but there’s that.
