Looks like you get to face transfer RH Brendan Girton/OU
Some trivia:
OnThisDay in CollegeBaseball:
OU Baseball stops #7 @ASU Baseball's NCAA record 506-game scoring streak by handing the Devils a 6-0 blanking in Surprise, AZ. LHP David Purcey went 7.0 innings, giving up 1 hit and 2 walks. ASU’s scoring streak began April 7th 1995 at USC.

Bama
Friday - Ben Hess (JR, 3.22 ERA, 0.991 WHIP)
Saturday - Riley Quick (SO, 3.68 ERA, 1.909 WHIP)
Sunday - Aidan Moza (JR, 3.09 ERA, 1.157 WHIP)
Hess and Moza had solid summers in the Cape (Hess @ Falmouth - 1.64 ERA, 1.091 WHIP in 11 IP) (Moza @ Harwich - 3.68 ERA, 0.955 WHIP in 14 IP). Quick had electric stuff last year as a freshman but has to improve command (10.6 K9/8.6 BB9).
Pen is certainly deep and will probably see a lot of work early in the year (Davis, Furtado, Ball, Banks, Fay).

reading through this thread it's actually incredible to me how our best pitcher wouldn't be a Top 5 option on most SEC teams

You weren't lying in your post above. Kind of crazy considering the talent that is in Georgia.

And we have no problem getting good batters.
Johnson’s first recruiting class was pretty good. I’m hoping that the new renovations and pitching lab will help a bit

I don't know about his career, but IIRC he came in and shut our asses down last year. Crafty left type guy, right?

Yep. He’s definitely had his moments in his career (2 immaculate innings) but he’s just too inconsistent. 5.03 ERA last year
I will say he ended the year a lot better than he started so maybe he ends up being alright this year
