South Carolina has Santee Cooper and Lake Murray 2 of the top bass fishing lakes around.

I'll never be the level of fisherman that I wanted to always become
Not even close
But I will say, Arkansas, The Sportsman's Paradise, has excellent bass fishing.

Georgia holds the world record. Sketchy at best though.

I can't even imagine catching a 22lb bass.
Georgia and South Carolina also share Clarks Hill ( I will never call it Lake Thurmond). All of my kin are from Calhoun Falls but I've never caught crap out of Clarks Hill

Yep.
Last Monday, 2 Sharelunkers over 13# were caught on the same lake by 2 unrelated boats. Both guys from Mineola. O.H. Ivie Reservoir in Athens.

Lane Olson of Mineola landed 13.26-pound ShareLunker 652, followed shortly thereafter by Bobby Waldon, also of Mineola, with 14.75-pound ShareLunker 653.

Hands down Lake Okeechobee, Florida.
That's the one lake I've always wanted to fish before I leave this Earth.

Damn what beautiful bass. Lucky bastards lol. Biggest I've ever landed was 10lb 6oz.

quote:. Okeechobee is fantastic but the entirety of Baja Georgia from Okeechobee to just north of the state line has produced 100s of 10+ pound fish for every one produced in the rest of any state that has produced. A 10 pound fish. Okeechobee actually doesn’t produce a significant number of +10 pound fish relative to the area between Orlando and Tiftin, Georgis
Hands down Lake Okeechobee, Florida.

What is crazy is that the world record bass came out of an oxbow lake which is not much more than a mudhole
