Before this season ended:
1. Alabama
2. Ole Miss
3. Auburn
4. Florida
After? Really hard to say. Two huge changes affected the Alabama rivalry, at least for me:
1. Saban retired
2. Divisions are gone
Personally, I don't hate any team except Alabama, and I'm realizing a lot of that was just that Saban had them a step ahead of us and that we had to go through them every year to win a championship. Neither of those things are true anymore. I could easily see the rivalry returning to the pre-Saban era intensity, where I still don't like Alabama and prefer them to lose all else equal, but where they recede back to the crowd of regular rivals instead of standing out.
Historically LSU's rival is less about predefined hate for a team regardless of performance and more about hating the best competition, whoever it is. Auburn and Florida were way more intense rivalries until Saban fixed Alabama for instance.
And with two quality programs coming in that LSU will recruit against in the state of Texas, with Auburn still recovering from wayward hires, with Florida apparently suffering a wayward hire, with Alabama taking a step back from Saban's dominance, and with Georgia looming large as the biggest threat in the conference... who knows?

Are we going on rankings of who we feel our biggest rivals are?
My list:
1) Alabama
2) Florida
---- DROP OFF
3) Ole Miss
------ A LOT MORE DROP OFF
4) Arkansas
5) Auburn
6) Texas A&M
7) other conference rivals

1. Alabama
2. Tulane
3. Ole Miss
4. Florida
5. Texas A&M
Tulane, although insignificant the past thirty years, is still one of our top rivals. If we ever play them we damn well better beat the living snot out of them or I won't be happy.
In the 2000s, I'd put Florida at #2 but they've slipped because they suck.
Ole Miss has always been one of our top rivalries. We used to play them every Saturday night before or on Halloween. SEC Scheduling has screwed that up the past few years.
Auburn and Arkansas are just adversaries. Although, during the Tommy Tubberville years, Auburn was a huge rivalry, a close 2nd to Alabama.

Alabama
With Saban gone, this will dwindle. But it'll still be number one for at least a while.
quote:
Texas A&M
Eh. Not a rivalry. We hate them only and to the extent they won't leave us alone. Like a big brother that doesn't care about little brother, but we get REALLY annoyed when but only as they keep annoying us. Not rivals.
quote:
Florida
You misspelled UForfeit. frick them.
quote:
Auburn
Just good football tbh. Less hate. Just on field rivalry.
quote:
Ole Miss
Classic. They definitely have a little brother complex, though. They hate us more than we them.
quote:
Arkansas
Lol no.
