What does that tell you?
He first turned down Saban when he was still there. Now, he turns them down again after Saban's gone.
Sweet home, Alabama? I don't think so.

It tells us he's only leaving UGA for a head coaching gig.

Was he offerred? Serious question. I like Schumann a lot and at some point we need to get him in the fold back at Bama for the future.

DeBoer runs a 4-2-5, why would he go after a 3-4 DC? Never saw his name mentioned except by fans.

I thought for sure Schumann was going to be new DC at Bama, and that was scary. But Deboer went with some dude from S. Alabama.
Retention would have been a lot better if he would have went with Schumann.

He knew there was more stability at UGA for him to mature as a coach.

Correct. Dan Lanning laid out the path.

DeBoer was looking for a 4-2-5 guy, dont think Schumann was offered

Do you have 5 DBs left on the roster?

Never saw that he was even offered... Stop with this nonsense

UGA runs a 4-2-5 most of the time. Our defensive depth chart has 3 safeties and 2 CB's.

You mean Kirby laid out the path for Lanning.

When was he in the conversation for a job at Bama? I only ever recall people on message boards mentioning him as someone they'd like to target. I don't recall seeing anything about him actually being targeted by the school.

It’s more of a 3-3-5 at UGA than a 4-2-5.

I suppose that's true. UGA tends to treat one of their LB's as "effectively" a down lineman, but I forget that technically they're not.

2 kinds of people bashing Bama. Trolls and fans of others schools trying to kick Bama through transition.

There is a lot of fluidity but it’s more 3-4 or 3-3-5 than 4 down lineman. The unquestioned base defense though is 3-3-5.

It's a 4-2-5 with a backer on the edge like you said. He's just splitting hairs. And we're in that formation the majority of the time.

Then why did he interview him? Y'all can keep saying it, but why interview a guy he has no intention of hiring? Either Schumann was in consideration (at least) or DeBoer was wasting time and resources for a show that probably cost him some players to the portal.
