He’s been a coach a good bit and from what I can tell a pretty good one.

David Ballou just tweeted “Roll tide!” so I take it he will remain as S&C coach.
BOL posted this list of other staffers who are expected to stay earlier tonight:

We’ve seen some questions about non-assistant coaches and where things stand with them. We have heard that some of them are expected to be retained, including the following:
– David Ballou, director of sports performance
– Ellis Ponder, football chief operating officer
– Denzel Devall, director of player development
– Josh Chapman, director of player development
– Ashleigh Kimble, associate director of recruiting operations
– Jamey Mosley, football analyst

So what if they know each other? Dude is a good coach with a solid track record. Won 10 games this year at South with a top 15 defense. That’s not exactly easy to do. Takes some coaching chops.

Do we know who’s being retained on the defensive side as far as coaches?
Guess I shouldn’t say we…since I obviously don’t know

Yep. And it’s the same characters around here who will complain and contradict you if you say the sky is blue haha.

This just makes makes me hate the hire more. Seems like a friend hire and less of an actual good hire
Because the head coach of an FBS school who KDB used to coach with drove a whole 2 hours from Mobile over to New Orleans to support him in the Sugar Bowl? lol

Not sure if it’s been officially announced, but consensus seems to be that Roach is being retained.

How many more coaches positions need to be filled?
ILB?

DB'S?
Special Teams?

Bama obsessed. LSU hated Bama because Saban was here after being at LSU.
LSU hated Bama way before Saban ever entered the picture. This isn’t new. From 1970 to 1999 Alabama won every time they came to that shithole Baton Rouge. Imagine, if you can, a team rolling into your house and losing to them for 29 years straight.
Oh and guess who it took to stop that streak.

We to be like my 2014 NCAA Alabama team. In 2024, I won the Heisman with a LB. Not to mention going undefeated and wining a natty. So, that’s my expectations for the year.

Guess now the wait and see is if downs is happy enough to be retained. In a perfect world, we would get Scott as a DB coach and I think that would possibly help. Carrol just retired at Washington, and who knows if Karl has a job at this point.

That streak is still amazing to me.

I don't like using volume metrics. Doesn't tell you much, prefer FEI and the sort. They were 73 in efficiency and 58 at Indiana in 2019
