Reality check for Bama fans and fans in general

I was lambasted on here yesterday for saying the delta in terms of quality of job is minimal between Bama and Oregon. I was mocked and laughed at because of muh championships. Guess who's laughing now?
What a lot of Bama fans are going to have to realize is that the quality of a college coaching job doesn't hinge entirely on the number of championships (real or not) a program has accrued over the years.
What matters most to a coach, in addition to pay, is the amount of resources that a program offers to go compete for championships in the future. The differences between Oregon and Bama are minimal if not null in that respect.
The reality is that both programs are 10 Top jobs. I would put Bama a notch above simply because of the fact that it's going against the best every week in the SEC. But Oregon is now joining a new and improved Big 10, so that angle is less relevant than it was a year ago.
The ultimate question for Lanning was whether or not he wanted to uproot his family for a near-lateral move and deal with the deranged psychos and entitled goobers in the Bama fanbase, living in the shadow of the greatest coach of all time. I don't blame him for staying with his current situation and showing a little bit of loyalty in the process.
Where we stand today, Bama has a great shot to bring in a solid coach. Just like a UGA, Texas, LSU, USC, UGA, Ohio State and yes, A&M, it's a Top 10 job to win future championships and be well compensated in the process. So it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. But let this be a lesson to the entitled Bama fanbase who is now confronted with a splash of cold water and a hard dose of reality.

Right now I agree moving from
Oregon to Bama is a bad idea.
5 years from now when you don’t have to follow Saban it’s a different story.

Shorten that to 50 words or fewer. My brain can’t handle all that mumbo jumbo.

Your brain is filled with nothing but mumbo jumbo.
I've heard from a reliable source into WBT Sports that Wild Bill Taylor was offered the Bama coaching job and declined rather harshly.

This is absolutely stupid, no matter how many times you say it.

Remember Ray Perkins? Whoever follows Saban is going to regret it?

Then explain this
Sorry your world model can't handle it. Yall almost hired Rich Rodriguez. He was your first choice in 2006. Think about that!
You'll figure it out eventually once you are recalibrated. It may take a few years. But at that point, you'll just say college football ain't what it used to he and use that as a crutch.

Completely agree with you and have been saying this for years.
Lanning is a wild card because maybe he wants to be back in the SEC, maybe the travel in the new Big 10 is a problem.
But why would Sark want to leave Texas for Alabama?
I won't even give respect to the posters who have claimed Kirby would, that's absolute delusion.
Alabama doesn't have some "secret sauce," and being a blue blood in 2024 doesn't matter that much.

The only reason these guys move is if there's some kind of personal preference, like maybe Sark prefers something at Alabama to Texas but just looking at the jobs, it's a lateral move.

No one in his right mind would want to take the Bama job. There is no upside. You would have to be a megalomaniac to even consider that job.
Only three names come to mind for me, Lane Kiffin, Urban and Jimbo Fischer.

You ever watch Oregon football? Resources are not an issue. Ever consider who their biggest financial supporter is?
