The “we” in this story is gone, right? President, AD, etc. This is a new HC so obviously that’s all different too

I will agree that time spent for a hire probably doesn’t correlate with success. Freeze seemed to stumble to get a staff in place last season and this feels a bit like that again in ways.

Not really. The BOT wanted Steele, but Allen Greene was convinced after a brief interaction in a hot tub that Harsin was the guy. Harsin’s interview was conducted over Zoom and there were technical difficulties. If we had done due diligence, we would have realized what everyone in Boise was saying - that the guy was a prick and was not very popular within the program and the university.
