I agree with you that he didn't singlehandedly win games last season. He was instrumental in several, but he was detrimental in a lot of those games as well, mostly in the first halves. Of course playcalling was subpar at times-I felt that we could have taken a lot pressure off of the passing game with our run game. We had the horses to do it. And lastly, pairing a green QB that doesn't have great pocket awareness with an all-time bad Oline was simply a bad recipe.

I will say that just by reading many posters' thoughts on here, and on social media regarding Milroe's capabilities and potential between the 2023 A&M game and the 2024 USF game, he clearly exceeded many peoples expectations, even if they don't want to admit it.

He exceeded mine, though I don't mind admitting it - no reputation to protect. I was a big supporter of his during this past year, but after A&M in '23, as you point out, I did not think he had the poise to play at the level he did. A level that admittedly also included serious shortcomings. So, I hold out hope that he, along with anyone else, can make unforeseen improvements.

Last year, many fans were all in or all out. IMO, both stances were wrong, he did many things right, including being a good leader and having an 'it' factor that allowed him and Alabama to make big plays when the other team landed a big blow. This happened even in the UTx loss also, when though UTx was the better team, Jalen brought them back twice late (late 3rd and 4th qtrs) in the game but the D continued to wilt anytime UTx needed a score. Though Jalen helped UTx out - but it was much more than his errors, as bad as they were.
