GTFO. If Georgia was screwed as bad as FSU, the exact same thing would have happened to them.

Wait, I thought one loss doesn’t mean anything. Isn’t that the reasoning that was used to sham Bama into the playoffs?

Why play at all the whole season? Georgia's Bowers was a 1st round pick all season. He should have sat out all season. What's the difference between all season and one game .
It's stupid to sit out any games, they aren't very good teammates. But it just shows everyone that they only care about one thing only their selves.

So why didn't Auburn quit in 2004? They went undefeated in the toughest and deepest power conference, won the SEC Championship Game, and got left out of the national championship game in favor of USC and Oklahoma. Did any of them rage quit? No. They all showed up and beat Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.

Cry more and enjoy that Music City Bowl loss

You must be joking. Were the kids who didn’t play in the bowl game for FSU even alive in 2004?
Times change. Attitudes change, and things that once brought harsh criticism now come with a pass and an atta boy.
I agree with your thoughts on this but trying to compare todays players with those from 2004 isn’t the way to go.

Ok.

FSU was not given the deserved opportunity to prove anything
They had the chance to beat the 2 time defending champs and show the committee made a mistake. They could have claimed a a title just like UCF did, but with some real recognition as many like yourself thought they were screwed over. It’s so weird that almost everyone who thinks FSU deserved a chance knew that they were not as good and that they would lose. The dislike of Alabama is what drives it. Reeee about it all you want. It just serves to make Bama fans all the more giddy.

Doesn’t this game also prove Georgia was one of the 4 best tho?
If it truly is the “4 best” how is Georgia not in the tournament?

Absolutely, they are. I said it right after the SECCG. Sadly , this year Atlanta was like a quarterfinal game.

Ya, as a player I would be like frick all that bullshite too and not give a frick about the bowl game. I think it’s a testament to their coach that he was even able to get some players on to the field, I sure as frick would not have played.
There it is folks. He's even proud of his attitude. "frick yeah I'm a quitter! Life wasn't fair so I quit!"

Bama faithful continuing to heehaww about these decisions do so only because deep down they know FSU was screwed, and they need more reason to justify the committee's decision.
No they got it right….almost. Should have put Georgia in over Michigan.

And all they would have received in return from the committee is an "Oopsie".
The achievement would feel incomplete and hollow.
Why do Alabama fans feel the need to talk about FSU holdouts?

No they got it right. Four best teams.
That is bullshite. I do not see Georgia in there.

It all comes down to culture. Kirby has instilled pride in his program where as Mike Norvell had to rely heavily on the transfer portal to jump start FSU's rebuild. I'm sure Norvell will eventually get things where they need to be but for now the Seminoles roster is just full of selfish players who have absolutely no loyalty to the team or the university.
It all comes down to the culture and it doesn’t matter if you primarily recruit HS, go heavy in the portal or transition to a hybrid. Just reference what CLK is doing at Ole Miss. When he took over the dumpster fire Luke left he went hard into the portal. Even last year we took close to 30 players in the portal. This year with what we have return, judicious selection of HS/JUCO recruiting and taking about half of what we have in the portal…..and the kids are all bought in. So much so that guys that could have gone to the draft (Dart, Harris Preiskorn, Watkins, JJ, Ivey, etc…etc…etc…)
All that being said…..hide your wives and daughters because we are coming, Hotty Mother fricking Toddy bitches!

It's hilarious seeing people say missing players were the reason they were blown out. So NOW missing key players matters, but not when deciding who the 4 best teams are?
They didn't "deserve" to get in if the committee didn't think they were one of the 4 best teams. And they obviously weren't. Simple as that.
