It was during his bowl press conference. Are these just for bowl games are new NCAA rules, and what exactly was he talking about?

Both teams are allowed to have tablets on the sidelines, and 3
members on offense and defense to have helmet communications. He is saying the SEC has to regulate it.

He decided against using helmet communications since he isn't ready for it yet.

College football is testing the waters with iPads and headsets like the NFL. They’re trying it out during bowl games for next season since the bowl games don’t count towards any standings.

He left it to the offensive staff.

We are not playing Michigan. No one concerned about sign stealing. LOL

In the presser Hugh alluded to going that route, but upon consideration the SEC frowned upon individual schools going that way alone. He didn't want to say that verbatim you had to read between the lines.

There is no indication the SEC is "against" this tech. Hugh just said it is too much trouble switching up the entire way they operate during a season (when there's only one game left anyway). He said he was gonna have to waste a lot of time meeting with reps from these companies and he didn't want to fool with it during bowl season.

If I’m not mistaken no SEC team is using the helmet tech

Ok

But that's not where he went in the bowl-presser.

I read Star's account of events. Specifically that Freeze didn't have enough time to listen to the manufacturers on how to operate the headsets.

They are trying something new. It is a fix for the sign stealing. I hope it is instituted before next year.

I read some article yesterday, where they were investigating people using those tablets for some reason. If I’m not mistaken, the aim was at Alabama and how they use them. I just got bored and stopped reading, but it was definitely about using those tablets and handing them out to players to take home.

No. Alabama players said coaches told them to stop using the tablets because they were concerned people were stealing their practice footage.

What happens is every team uploads their practice footage to the cloud and then can access it on their tablets so they can watch their own practices.

Apparently the NCAA is investigating a school (they won't name) for hacking into the cloud and stealing opponents' practice footage. If this is true, people might go to jail. That is a criminal matter, not just NCAA.

Michigan is claiming it is not them under investigation for it, so no one knows what school NCAA is investigating.
