Where does that stand on a scale of hiring hookers for 18 year olds to sign with your program?

This thread has been great. It is always entertaining to watch Auburn and LSU football fans revolve around the center of their universe. It is quite the compliment to Alabama. Thank you guys.

And good luck in your bowl games, especially Auburn. If you win this year then Brother Freeze will secure a winning record for Auburn for the first time since your 6-5 season in 2020. Things are looking up for you.

Seems like your recruiting techniques are outdated

quote:History will show that the flip of Rueben Foster to Auburn will go down as the single-most important event in changing the perception of the little/big brother roles in college football in the state of Alabama. Mainly because of what this manchild beast will do inside Jordan-Hare Stadium and the publicity that has surrounded the flip (press conference, tattoo, etc.). Not to mention the laundry list of fellow defensive recruits that are salivating at a chance to play with this wrecking ball on the field. This guy's magnetism and mentality are no different that Cam's. Both are once in a generation players and we'll have had them in Orange in Blue in a span of four years. I've never seen a time in which truly informed Alabama fans, not the toothleess Wal-Mart Muldykes, have been in such anxiety and agony over the direction of the Auburn Football program. I love every second of it, and they see what's happening and can't do anything about it. When you treat your players as family members and they play for you out of respect and admiration, things like 28-27 happen. When you have players that fear their coach, see rampant gray-shirting, bogus medical departures and wonder if they will have their scholarship the following year, things like a 24-0 complete meltdown implosion against your hated rival happen. It all starts at the top and CGC will go down as a legendary coach in college football history, not just Auburn history, Book It. I tell all of the Bammers without hesitation that CGC will win more national championships at Auburn than Satan will at UTea. If you hook me up to a polygraph while saying it, I would pass because that's how much I believe it to be true. The perception of Auburn Football in-state and on a national level is changing. September 1st is about to open the country's eyes as to what tenacious Auburn football is all about, and I can't wait to watch the look on little dabo's face. These are great times to be an Auburn Tiger. A dynasty is in the making, and if you don't see it, you don't have a clue. War Damn Chizik and War Damn Eagle.

/thread. OP fought the good fight though, I’ll give him that.

I think any rational person would say Auburn did the best in recruiting this year given their state. Credit goes to Auburn. The Yeller Feller has deep pockets. He certainly has Gumpers on the run.

For the past five years Auburn fans on here have been preaching that recruiting rankings don’t translate to success on the football field. They have been preaching that recruiting rankings are just made up numbers. They have been preaching that rankings and stars can’t tell you how good a player, or a team, will be. They have been preaching that you can’t predict the future. So why would anyone care about Auburn’s recruiting this year?

But while we can’t predict the future, it is easy to look at the past.

Auburn is 6-6 and hasn’t had a winning season in 3 years. Hugh Freeze has never won the SEC west in seven seasons as an SEC coach. He left the only SEC program he coached at in ashes and scored himself a show cause in the process. He was relegated to Liberty for half a decade because the SEC commissioner would not let him come back and coach in the SEC.

But recruiting? Those are just made up numbers according to Auburn fans.

I remember how excited Ole Miss fans were after Hugh’s first huge recruiting haul. It was a top 3 class nationally I believe.

Afterwards I also remember the Laremy Tunsil gas mask bong video played during the NFL draft. And the video of former number one recruit Robert Nkemdiche jumping off a building high as shite.

But I am sure Brother Freeze will be able to keep the Auburn program from disintegrating. He seems really good at instilling discipline in players and keeping a football program in check.
