Friendly reminder that in the 91-year history of the SEC, Florida has below 50% winning percentage if you take out their Golden Age of football, 1990-2009. They also have no National Titles and no SEC titles outside that period.

In the other 61 seasons outside this one moment in time (that is now over), Florida is 213-220-15 in SEC play (49.2%). Maybe you’ll turn it around next season.

Now take away Aubys 20 best seasons and educate us on how great they were - those seasons.

I’ll take UF over Auburn the next 20 years easily.

Sure.

Auburn, along with Notre Dame, is one of just two programs to have an AP Top 5 finish in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. We have six more seasons in the 2020s to keep the streak alive.

We won a National Title in 1957. Got one stolen from us in 1983. Went undefeated in 1993 and 2004. Won another National Title in 2010. Played for it again in 2013.

OK you listed 19, take all of those away, what is Auby's record without those years?

Gaytors seem well on their way to the wilderness... like the Hillbillies for a decade plus.

The whole reason not to fire him was to keep the class together, and now… lol

Uh yes. My entire argument was keeping him so we’d have some talent in the wings when he inevitably gets fired for being below .500 after 3 seasons.

There’s literally 0 reason to keep him around anymore

The point is Auburn (and Bama, LSU, Tenn, UGA, TX, OU) has had success as a program through our hundred+ years of history.

Florida has had two coaches who’ve had success. TWO. Literally every major accomplishment in Florida football history happened under Spurrier or Meyer.

It’s possible that Florida’s program is just not good outside of these two men.

Has Florida considered taking some questionable 4 stars that can’t qualify to pump up your ranking?

It worked for Mullen.

It worked for Mullen in December and February. Plenty of those guys never even played.

You're a dumbass... most boomers have no meaningful recollection of 1957. The vast majority of those old enough to remember 1957 were outside playing or doing chores. That's shite kids did then, not spend their time looking at a phone screen.

And yet we still have more hardware than Auburn. Ouch.

Can’t get any worse right?
If they get off to a slow start legitimately looking at a 3 (or less) win season.

I’d say that is worse
