OU was a massive, legendary cheater program in its hey day. Without flagrantly buying players, it’s a nothing program in a broke arse state. Watching them lose to ku & its backup quarterback was amazing.

That’s what OU fans don’t get. They had decades of paying players under the table while others didn’t and built an advantage on that.

With NIL, the game has changed, and they are nervous. Oklahoma won’t be able to keep up on NIL with a small population state shared with Oklahoma State. They don’t have the population and businesses to keep up with schools like Mizzou who are jumping into NIL.

I give it five years before Oklahoma has slid to a perennial .500 program.

OU is SEC Nebraska or SEC West Tennessee. They are living on borrowed time as a football school.

OU - softball school
Nebraska - women’s volleyball school

Tennessee - not even sure anymore. Former ladies basketball school?
