According to the most recent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data released by the NCAA on Dec. 6, Georgia has finished last in the 14-team SEC each of the last three years, and the numbers have been trending downward.
The Bulldogs’ GSR of 41 for the period that ended with the 2022-23 academic year followed marks of 59 and 54 in the previous two reporting periods, respectively. The GSR represents the percentage of athletes that graduated after entering school six years prior.

Oh, are you still under the illusion that most of these young men are here to get an education? Especially those in football and basketball?
Have you heard about this newfangled NIL thing?

It’s hard for guys like Stetson Bennett to get a degree in 8 years of undergrad.

His most impressive academic feat is managing to not get some kind of degree on that time frame. There was a bachelors of universal studies degree when I was in college that basically was for people like him and he didn't even get that.

Look at Alabama, come to Alabama to play for a legendary coach, top notch facilities, win championships, get prepared for the NFL and graduate with a degree.
It's literally the best football program in the country.

it's trending down because of the transfer portal. This is common sense.

when half your team leaves every year, how many of them do you think are going to have UGA degrees?

Only an Auburn fan would attempt to throw shade at football players actually graduating from the university they attend.

It really is amazing. To take and pass enough classes to stay academically eligible each semester you would eventually just accidentally take some combination of classes to get a degree in something in the time he was in school.

That's dumb since I was an athlete who graduated from the university I attended (Auburn).
Be honest with yourself about why (MOST) of these elite football players are coming to Alabama (or Auburn or Georgia). Hint: It's not for a college degree.

Bama has shown us that the only thing that matters is
winning championships.Hitting woman carrying guns and
drugs ,getting arrested doesn`t matter.Certainly graduating
is on the back burner. We fans DGAS about anything but
winning just like the coaches.GEO ain`t no different than
any other program.Nobody shows up to their graduations.

I wish our ad and uaa cared about winning as much as Georgia
The uaa worries about culture “their culture not ours” fit and stuff like that
They don’t give a damn about winning championships of any kind it’s all about their wine and cheese party and being the “Stanford of the South”
Georgia fans should be grateful that their ad and uaa cares about winning

not as many as Alabama sent to the NFL, yet, according to the graphic above 93% of Alabama players graduated.
