Oh, wait, did you mean "commensurate"?

Trend setters…first buying a class. Now, hiring and firing based on player opinions.

Show your work on that equaling up to “hundreds of thousands of dollars”. I need you to break it down into dollar figures backed up with proof of valuation.

its turned the whole thing completely mercenary, players dont stick around and develop as part of the team, they come for money, they leave if the other place offers more money. its turned the sport into a shittier version of the NFL, which at least has specific rules and contract lengths.

So from what I gather you consider it shitty because other teams are reaping the benefits of what people have been accusing Bama of doing for years.

Sorry that the current landscape of college football isn’t catering to narddogg who is watching the game from his couch. Your complaints should be directed to the Supreme Court as well as the Legislative branch.

Also I’ve seen plenty of Ole Miss players advertising their NIL partners on social media.

Saban hated NIL because it took away his ability to “buy” recruits.

I just wish that there was a CAP on NIL. A player cannot earn more that $XXXX per season OR per college career.

Would also be nice that if a player accepts NIL money that transferring to another school is off limits.

All rubbish compared to the multibillions they generate. I'm really sick of the anti-American attitudes when it comes to collegiate pro athlete compensation.

I’ll try to relate NIL a bit better for you.

Would you be ok with there being a cap on how much money you can make a year or in your career? As in, after you reach that dollar amount……tough shite….you can’t make any more money?

I think the point is, with NIL the player was supposed to get money for using their 'name and likeness' as a way to you know.. earn money. Meaning they would be branded and companies could use them in commercials, their faces pasted all over the place on buses etc. That's what I thought we were getting...

Instead, it's here is the money to go play at this school. It's 'free' money that they have to do very little to get. I don't think that was the intention of all of this, as it stands right now it's just a payment scheme to get a player to make a decision on where to play.

Logan Young should’ve lived during this NIL era.

LSU players are on electronic signs all over the Baton Rouge area. Jayden is on Powerade commercials. Haley is on national ad campaigns as is Angel.

I think the OP is one of those cases like when you see someone complaining about the news being wrong while also saying they never watch the news.

ITT a lot of folks so eat up with Bama they're unwilling to admit the sport we love will likely blow up in the next few years if NIL/transfer portal isn't stabilized.

They hate Bama more than they love the sport.

None of that is equal to the millions the kid brings to the school and the sacrifices they make to their body. It's not guaranteed a kid can go to the NFL and in what world is risking their health equal to room and board lol

A lot of the better players have merchandise too
