Didn’t he punch his principal and that’s why he transferred?

Don't know about that, but I saw on an OU board that he did something on a visit that pissed off all the other recruits, and OU stopped recruiting him.

I thought he played with Edric Hill. Alabama signed Hill in the 2023 class.
BamaOnLine is not currently predicting Alabama will land Ross. They’re still looking for one more edge player and they really like him though. Kansas State might lead?

Punching a principal is a negative? Not at my old school.

They tried and failed to rehab DGB. Let’s hard pass on this kid if even Chodelahoma said no more.

He did leave St Pius X at the end of the season last year. He probably got his scholarship revoked for a unknown reason. MSHAA wouldn’t have allowed him to play at Liberty North if he left Pius for no reason. The week after he transferred to Liberty North he played in the regular season final. Ross had 3 catches for 84 yards and a TD. LN was 12-1 and lost in the state semifinals to CBC.

Jayshawn Ross only played 4 games with Hill. He transferred to Liberty North the week before the season finally.
He seems like the kind of player that expects to win.
He has been a winner at both schools he played for. He has played in 1 state semifinal, 3 state championships, and won 1 state championship. Teams he has played for are 40-8. 4 of the losses are to the state champions, 2 of the losses are to a out-of-state private school, and this year he lost a close game to NWarnei’s team.

Future NFL star. Extremely athletic with an attitude. Good to see us getting back to these types of players.

Just committed to Alabama.

He is a really good pickup. Do think he will play DE or TE? He can play both at a high level. Early in his recruiting some teams were recruiting him as a TE and others as DE. Like I said above his stats are good on both sides of the ball.
He could be a impact player at most schools but a lot backed off when he was kicked out of St Pius.

They took him to the office, and were going to call his parents. The kid asked not to do that, 'cause his dad was going to hit him harder than that. Kid got 3 licks and in-school suspension.
Old school, 70's style.
Bring back the Licks

Hopefully with some discipline he can end up being a big time contributor. He just needs to avoid throwing hands on the football field!

At least we aren't hero worshipping players.
Congrats on the pickup, but that picture plays a bit into stereotypes of Bama fandom. Since his pose mimics Jesus on the cross, is he a sacrifice for Bama's sins?
