Not sure why we aren’t more interested in girls hoops

The games are boring as sin. Competitive games are few and far between. 3 games have been decided by 8 or fewer points. The rest are blowouts.

I really don’t think competitive or close games would matter at all. We’d go to men’s games if we were blowing people out regularly, I think it comes down to the lack of athleticism compared to the men’s game. Yeah, those girls are really good, but not compared to the men. Even watching South Carolina and LSU last night just didn’t have the pizazz we are used to and that’s as good as it gets.

The only reason I go to men's games is due to free tickets. It doesn't have the same appeal as outdoor events. Just my opinion. And I fully recognize that the Pavillion is top notch and great.

I mean she made a good point referencing Kiffin having to beg fans to show up. If you notice the men’s games, the upper decks aren’t ever full. We really only truly show up for baseball/football all things considered. I don’t fault her frustration. She’s done a great job.

quote:Eh. She just needs to realize women’s basketball will never be a priority at Ole Miss unless they are a top 5 team making the Final 4. Same thing happened at State. They have no shits but when they almost won a title, people started showing up. Whether it’s fair or not is up for debate but it’s just how it is

And he was begging us to show up for non-conference teams that don't move the needle much.

Women's basketball will always be lower than the Men but if they really want Women's basketball to get more popular they should push for rule changes which make the game easier/more exciting. Some sports you can have the same rules for men/women & they're both the same but Basketball isn't one of those. They should take inspiration from Softball, compared to baseball the field is way smaller, games are shorter, & less athletically demanding. I still prefer baseball over softball but both are good games because of the rule differences.
Then again they'll never go for rule changes as they'll say it's sexist or some bullshite.

Or they could just not charge for tickets like very other women's sport we have.

To my last point they would probably say that’s sexist or some shite if they made it free

Horrible offensive first half. We are allergic to any game not in Oxford
Posted on 1/27/24 at 8:23 pm to Oxford Ways
And yet we lead at the half.

Yep, woke up after my post lol

We just refuse to score tonight. And rebounding is still a major issue
Posted on 1/27/24 at 9:15 pm to OleVaught14
We have the tallest player in Division 1 basketball apparently, rebounding is killing us
Posted on 1/27/24 at 9:16 pm to Oxford Ways
We’re just atrocious on the road
Posted on 1/27/24 at 9:28 pm to ManBearSharkReb
What a shot by Murray
Posted on 1/27/24 at 9:37 pm to OleVaught14
Man this is a stress fest

Tried everything to blow that but finally got a road win
