- Held GC to 10% from 3
- Held GC to 44.4% from 2.
- 10 Steals
- 9 Blocks
Best defense we've played all year. However, we made so many stupid plays. Definitely one of those gritty as games that every team has to have in a tournament.

Over the years I have mellowed a little during the football games. I thought it was because I’m getting older…
I completely lose my shite watching basketball games now though. Like I feel like I legitimately lose time off of my life. Blood pressure through the roof. I’m gonna stroke out one of these days
Oh I'm exactly the same way. Basketball makes me so emotional!!

How about the Tide. They took after their head coach tonight...fighters mentality, never quit mentality, and a straight up DAWG mentality.
The energy Pringle & Mo gave this team down the stretch was crazy.
All the hate Pringle gets...super proud of that guy.
Mo turned into Baby Herb again. He's got a bright future here in Tuscaloosa. So proud of these guys and the coaches.

I took the loss to SDSu harder last year than any FB game in the last 10yrs.
A trip to the FF was on a silver platter and could not get it done.

We need to have Roll Tide Willie on the bench for the UNC game. We need him to provide motivation.

The best player in today’s game is Sears.
The best defenders are Pringle and Griffen.
They are truly fantastic players.
And X-Factor is Mo.D. He has tremendous athleticism and energy.
Many people will wonder why they played him late and didn't play much minutes, but I think it was the best choice. GCU uses a seven-man rotation, so physicality could be an issue in the second half as a result. In particular, Bama uses a 10-man rotation and attacks at a very fast pace, so GCU has physical problems in the second half. This moment when a lot of stamina is consumed is Mo.D’s time. Although Mo.D cannot shoot 3-pointers, he can participate in drive-in and offensive rebounds. He can also play defense.
I think the coaching staff did their best to mask Mo.D's weaknesses and shortcomings and allow him to use only his strengths.
Walters only made one 3-pointer today, but he is a shooter. Even if he continues to miss, he should not hesitate to take a 3-pointer if an open opportunity arises.
Estrada didn't have a shot, but he really played his best in rebounds and assists. I wish there was just one 3-point shot. He really put in a lot of effort defensively.
Nelson has had disappointing performances for two consecutive games, but I still believe in Nelson. I hope he shows it all in the game against UNC.
I feel like Stevenson really did his best today. He was just unlucky. No matter how many times I watched the slow video, he didn't make any mistakes on defense, but he did get called for a few fouls. There was no body contact. There was no contact with his hands or wrists. In that situation, how should he have played defense to avoid being called a foul? If you know the answer, please let me know.

Our game Thursday will start after Clemson-Arizona ends. That game starts at 6:09 CT, so we’re probably looking at 8:30ish.

With how angry and physical Pringle is playing, if I’m Oats in trotting him out there to start on Bacot.
That catfish looking Mfer will get 30 boards on Grant otherwise, Pringle will fight him to the death.

Mo D can play that Dennis Rodman role well… he plays with energy even though he is undersized many times

I've slacked on posting on the Bama Board this year for Basketball. Not sure if it has been stated but Nate's ability to manage the bench and get all of these players substantial playing time played off tonight.
With that being said.... Nelson and Estrada need to get out of their funk ASAP if we are going to go far. Mo D needs to start over Nelson. Wrightsell needs to wear a helmet.

Pringle may be the basketball version of Crazy Tony Brown, and I’m here for it.

And foul out halfway through the 1st half.

Might be a game where Pringle/Wague get a lot of minutes and Grant plays 4.

The best highlight was Pringle throwing a clipboard. Did we ever figure out who received the Technical foul? The bench?

It was the bench, but the foul was for him smashing the clipboard.

Estrada and Nelson will have to bring a much better version of their game to have a chance against UNC.
The interior post defense situation against UNC will be a very difficult ask against a very experienced and tough post up guy in Bacot. It’ll take a lot from Pringle and Stephenson to hold up down there and a couple quick foul calls could be a major problem for us given our lack of depth and size in the paint.
Speaking of which I expect Stephenson to come out with a ton of energy, he’s from that area and I’m sure feels like he has a lot to prove.

If Nelson could get his jumper going, that may frustrate Bacot a bit. Ultimately, I think Bacot mitigation is going to be about getting him in foul trouble early and never let him get a rhythm in the game.
