Got to constantly remind myself even though the last few weeks have been disappointing that this team probably reached their potential regardless.

True. What they have done this year is remarkable. I said over a month ago if they finished 12-6 in conference I would be pretty impressed. They are on the verge of wrapping up 13-5 and if not for a miserable final 7 minutes against UT, 14-4 was there. The future is bright

The Austin Spurs have acquired forward Charles Bediako. He re-joins Austin after most recently being a 2-way player for the San Antonio Spurs. #porvida #nba #sanantonio #gospursgo

In the last 25+ years only once has a team won the SEC regular season in back to back years (Florida in 2013 and 2014). It's not easy to do. The fact that Bama lost 3 assistant coaches, 2 NBA 1st rounders, and brought in more new players than ever before and had a chance to win the SEC in March is something. I think we all expected a bit of a dropoff after being the #1 seed, but for a while there we looked to once again win the SEC.

Exactly. Basketball is so hard to win consistently and then you add the transfer portal and nil.

That's for sure. The best thing Alabama did in conference play was really just not slipping up to what people would say was inferior opponents (although I would argue on paper some of those teams were considered better than Bama).

UT - Lost to Miss. State, Tamu, South Carolina. Alabama was 4-0 against those teams.

UK - Losses include - Tamu, South Carolina, LSU. Once again Bama was 4-0 against those same teams.

Florida - Losses include - Tamu, South Carolina & Ole Miss. Bama 3-0 against those teams.

Auburn did a pretty good job overall but even they lost at Miss. State.

Of all the teams in the race for a first round sec bye, Alabama was really the only one who doesn't have a "kicking thyself" loss in SEC play. That's really hard to do in basketball.

Let’s hope Wrightsell hasn’t lost his touch, with Rylen questionable he has to step in full bore.

Despite that historic arse whipping a few weeks ago, why do I feel like we'd have a better chance of beating Kentucky than Florida on Saturday?

I'm thinking we'd smother UK on their way to putting up 94 this time instead of 117. All it'd then take for us to win is be within -5 in turnovers and shoot 13/30 from deep.

We'll see our intramural hockey squad in the Frozen Four first

Nah... the 04-05 team would've been there if it wasn't for meeting UConn.

Last year was undeniably the biggest kick in the balls. Miller was working on one wheel and we met an SDSU bunch that amounted to football players in sneakers. They were just more physical and could athletically close out on our singularly-focused drive and kick offense.

Good thing the vaunted "Austin Spurs" apparently didn't see Bediako in the game film.

actually had a great year compared but if they were playing for their tournament lives today it did not show. UT showed it though.

Bama -17 against Arkansas

Is that a real line from Vegas or anywhere legit betting site? Makes no sense with us having key players out, and Hogs playing their best ball now- almost beat Cats at Rupp. We’ll be lucky to win period.
