quote:Who, Daniels? His 'worst game' against Fla State, he threw for 346 yds (more yds than Travis), and ran for 64 (was the leading rusher for the game). You're gonna penalize him for that?
Played his worst game against the highest ranked team. Voters don’t like that.

Nah. It started with Caleb W. He lost his bid last night. Now, Penix Jr. is the favorite followed by J. Daniels.

Jayden Daniels will be your Heisman Winner
Year...school winner was from...record at time ballots were distributed
2022 - USC - 11-1
2021 - Alabama - 11-1
2020 - Alabama - 10-0
2019 - LSU - 12-0
2018 - Oklahoma - 11-1
2017 - Oklahoma - 11-1
2016 - Louisville - 9-3
2015 - Alabama - 11-1
2014 - Oregon - 11-1
2013 - Florida State - 12-0
There has been ONE Heisman Trophy Winner over the last 10 seasons that has been on a team with more than one loss at the time ballots were distributed. That certainly doesn't help Daniels in this case.

Only way Daniels has a chance is if Washington’s Penix broke

To me, Sam Hartman and JJ McCarty are the ones getting snubbed.
Find a Notre Dame fan who hasn't been disappointed in Hartman's play. And you're saying he should be in the Heisman race?? I'll pay attention to McCarthy when he plays a team with a pulse.

Bottom line is Daniels will be a factor only if we knock off Bama again, that will be the game that puts him on the map or takes him out the conversation ultimately.

He gets the Heisman if he continues putting up big numbers and LSU wins out including the SECCG. A win with big numbers in Tuscaloosa would put him in front in my opinion.
* Edited to say if Bama wins against Tennessee.

Brian Kelly must be a fricking genius to lose 2 games with this guy halfway through the season.
JD from FSU is not JD now. It had not clicked yet. Combined with a defense full of mercs, the FSU loss was a given.

Would be the worst Heisman winner in history

Even our dingus fair weather fans realize just how special he really is. That being said there’s a small minority that just doesn’t like him for whatever reason. Baffling.

DAniels passing stats are better overall and his rushing stats are gigantic. Penix with no rushing stats worth merit. Daniels is doing something that is rare

I figure the ND debacle should've ended any Heisman talk bout him. He looked turrible.
