These things are pretty stupid....

Georgia hasn't lost since 2021 and they only control their home turf?

Kentucky beats Florida

Has no lands in Florida to show for it.

We lost our land in Florida to Utah. We took land from Tennessee that now belongs to Kentucky.

Because they’ve played a bunch of scrubs and South Carolina and Auburn both of which border their home turf

The only thing I could possibly take away from this map is the fact that Nebraska needs to go out and hire Mack Brown immediately.

Another vote for "this".

And I will give an example of why it is stupid.

Three teams have beaten Cincinnati. OU, Miami (OH), and BYU. Miami (OH) has the Cincinnati's territory.

According to the way this ridiculous thing is supposed to work... Miami (FL) should have Cincinnati's area because they beat Miami (OH).

And if it just goes on a week to week basis...BYU should have it unless you want to give it to Kansas because they beat BYU the week before.

And you have to ask yourself why Oklahoma shouldn't have the Cincy area if Miami (FL) or BYU doesn't have it.

everyone starts out with the county they are closest to

you win.. you take the other team’s county
you lose, you have nothing

for example
Texas starts with Travis County
Rice starts with Harris County (perhaps split)

Texas wins.
Texas now has Travis and Harris *
Rice has nothing

Rice plays A&M A&M wins.
A&M doesn’t gain anything because Rice had no land.

A&M beats Texas.
A&M gains Travis, Harris * on top of whatever they have, if anything.

Texas would then have nothing for their next game.

So this week all of the Texas properties and all of the Oklahoma properties will go to the winner. The loser will have nothing.

TLDR: This map is stupid, but it can be a fun way to look at things. If you never play anyone, you won’t ever get anything, but you might lose it all if you play someone good.

Exactly. It's really not that difficult to understand.
