If Clemson joins, that will make them the 4th team in the SEC with Tigers as the nickname.

I get that LSU's nickname came from the Louisiana Fighting Tigers soldiers the Civil War due to them being complete badasses. Did the others just decide to get theirs from some generic nickname bucket?

Either way, there are entirely too many Tigers teams already in the SEC and for that, we should deny Clempson's application.

Edit: Mizzou's tiger nickname also stemmed from the Civil War, so I hereby deem them legitimate as well.

LSU and Mizzou's are legit, Auburn and Clempson are just unimaginative posers. Followers. Ultimately they are cucks.

No clue about LSU, but MU Tiger naming had its genesis with Civil War era militia reference.

The only fair way to settle this is to lock all four mascots in a cage with no food and the last tiger standing gets the name.

Harvey Updyke killed Auburns mascot so they had to switch to one of their other 100 back up mascots

Clemson got their name from Auburn.

Auburn’s comes from a 1770 poem by Oliver Goldsmith. Lines include “Sweet Auburn, loveliest village of the plain” and “where crouching tigers await their hapless prey”.

If Clemson is allowed to join, then they either have to change their mascot since Riggs literally just stole Auburn’s or officially switch their team to Auburn Junior Varsity.
