Since 2018, Texas has played in more one-score games than any other Power 5 program

As a result, Joel Klatt, college football commentator and analyst for FOX Sports, asked the question.....
"Texas fans, how should you feel about your chances of going to the CFP? Forever cautious!"
"Because your team, like it or not, plays to the level of their competition constantly. Constantly. Constantly! They did it again last week....10-10 in the 4th quarter against Wyoming??
"I heard some folks on Twitter saying, 'Oh, I dunno, Wyoming's a pretty gritty team!' Had to be Longhorns fans. You can't claim that you've arrived and that you're back because you beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa and then say, "er, Wyoming's kinda gritty'. No! That's not how this works, Texas!"

Coulda fooled me. Thought it’d have been the Corn People from Nubberville given their hilariously futile record in one score games the last several seasons.

It's been three games. I'm not overreacting over close wins nor am I anointing this team as a title contender either. Texas should be favored in every remaining game the rest of the season though.

Sounds like Arkansas. Hell, we went 7-6 last season and had 4 losses by less than 3 damn points.

You may not be, but Klatt was putting out a cautionary tidbit out there for Texas fans not to feel too enamored with this team -- yet. It's early, still; yet, the fanbase seems to be, consensus-wise, already planning on reservations for Houston when, in fact, the Wyoming game was enough to provide enough caution for them to apply the brakes right now.

Every UTrans fan on the rant for a week when asked why they could only score 1 touchdown for the first 48 minutes of the game

Texas has Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde at QB.
When Ewers shows up they tend to dominate see 2022 OU & 2023 Alabama
They tend to struggle when his $ewer$ persona shows up see 2023 Wyoming & 2022 Oklahoma State, TCU, & Washington.
They lead the nation in defensive efficiency that will keep them in most of the games but he could easily frick up and lose the TCU & KSU games knocking Texas out of the CFP even if they were to beat OU.

I don't think you can blame Texas for being sluggish a week after the biggest win in recent program history.
If they struggle again this week, then perhaps Klatt has a point... but Wyoming isn't horrible and Texas did finally wear them down.

I really think they need to fire Sark. He'll never win anything of value at Texas and the good people of Texas deserve so much better.

Good thing we haven’t played in one this year then!

He’s been trying to get others to join him in the name calling. The only ones that joined him are his alters.
