The full on spiral has started his end and he knows it.

After LSU beats us 45-14 and we end 5-7 he's gone.

Weak stuff. You’re making millions of dollars. You can’t run from the criticism. Makes you look weak. I’d fire him now if he was my employee.

It does look like a weak move. I would hope someone in the AD would inform him that’s a poor idea.

Especially after he’s been defensive in press conferences as of late.

He'll get a Houston Nutt pass.

Good. He also needs to quit bitching about social media and fan pressure

You are paid millions to coach a game bruh

People are not exactly applauded for collapses in business, government, or nonprofit sectors either. Get over it

He needs to say something like that quickly or this is a fireable offense IMO.

Sam’s a grown man, why would he want to deal with that childish crap anyway…

The personal attacks on his weight and appearance have gotten out of hand lately so I can’t really blame him.

A segment of our fanbase is a bunch of idiots. I don’t really see him as a social media type anyway kinda like DVH.

Good for him. There’s no rule that he has to take the bullshite thrown at him by “fans” even when we’re winning. I don’t know how any of the folks do it.

I don't care either way, however he was even testy in the last presser on Monday as well. He seems to be unraveling a bit. Makes me sad.

Hate to see it go the way it seems to be headed.

Awww Well, Coaching search anyone?

Good for him. Twitter is massively over-emphasized. You're better off without it.

Better be or this program is DONE! Probably already are. Another disaster hire. If he had any honor, he'd resign.

Am I the only one that saw him with his eyes glazed over, totally clueless every time they showed him onscreen in the second half? Not even coaching. Just standing there mouthbreathing his way to a multimillion dollar payday.

I'm not being a dickhead here Smacky, but no I didn't see that. I think your dislike of him is influencing that. If we lose most of the games in this 5 game stretch I'll be definitively on the fire him bandwagon

Look, Pittman did say they were working on blocking... Right? Well, it's a start!

I wish we as a fanbase were capable of moving on from a coach without going full nuclear mode on him.

I've been off the Pittman train longer than most, but this is a still a team capable of winning some games. Tearing them down ourselves (I'm talking harassing players/coaches on twitter) isn't going to help.

Sam is a career position coach. Considering that, he has over-performed. I do think he has peaked and served his purpose. Anything less than 8 wins and we should move on while the program is in a decent position for the next coach.

No matter how terrible we are, we aren’t Auburn and Tennessee.
